Lazy Meals Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 19, 2026

Lazy Meals helps users generate simple meal ideas from ingredients they already have. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is used.

Information You Provide

The app may process ingredients you type, cooking filters or preferences you select, recipes you save as favorites, and optional fridge or pantry photos you choose to scan.

Gemini Processing

When you generate meal ideas, your ingredient list and selected cooking preferences may be sent to Gemini to create recipe suggestions. When you use photo scan, the selected or captured image is compressed and sent to Gemini to identify visible food ingredients.

Local Storage

Favorites, recipe history, theme preference, daily free usage count, and cached premium entitlement status are stored locally on your device using Apple system storage. Lazy Meals does not use accounts, login, Firebase, or a custom backend.

Photos

Photos are used only for ingredient detection when you choose to scan a fridge or pantry image. Lazy Meals does not save scanned photos to favorites or recipe history.

Purchases

Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Lazy Meals uses StoreKit to check purchase entitlement status.

Safety

Lazy Meals provides general cooking ideas only. Suggestions can be incomplete or incorrect. Always check allergies, food freshness, and safe cooking temperatures before cooking or eating.
