1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Moviesta ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Moviesta is a movie and TV show discovery app that helps you find similar titles using AI-powered recommendations. It uses the TMDB API to retrieve publicly available entertainment data and Google Gemini for natural language search processing.

3. TMDB Data and Attribution

Moviesta's content is powered by The Movie Database (TMDB).

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

By using Moviesta, you also agree to comply with TMDB's Terms of Use.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Moviesta offers optional premium subscriptions:

Monthly: $2.99/month
Yearly: $19.99/year

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

5. Free and Premium Tiers

Free tier: 5 AI Finder searches per day, up to 9 results per search
Premium tier: 20 AI Finder searches per day, up to 30 results per search

All TMDB-based features (browsing, search, movie/TV details, similar titles, streaming availability) are available to all users at no cost.

6. Permitted Use

You may use Moviesta for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

Reverse engineer or extract the source code (where not permitted by law)
Use the App to bulk download or scrape TMDB data
Re-distribute TMDB data obtained through the App
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Abuse the AI Finder by sending automated or scripted requests

7. Intellectual Property

Moviesta's app design, code, and branding are owned by the developer
Movie/TV data, posters, and related content are owned by TMDB and their respective copyright holders
No content from the App may be reproduced for commercial purposes

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Accuracy or completeness of TMDB data or AI-generated recommendations
Uninterrupted availability (depends on TMDB and Gemini API uptime)
That the App will meet your specific requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top will be updated. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
