Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Drobe is built to be a private space for your clothes. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. In short: your wardrobe stays on your device, we don't require an account, and we don't sell your data.

Data stored on your device

Your wardrobe — the photos you add (as background-removed cutouts), item tags, outfits, calendar plans, wear history, and your style preferences — is stored locally on your device. We do not upload or back up this data to our servers.

Photos and on-device processing

When you add an item, the background is removed on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No photo leaves your device for background removal.

Automatic tagging (third-party AI)

If automatic tagging is enabled, the background-removed cutout of a single item is sent to Google's Gemini API to identify attributes such as category, color, and style. The image is processed to generate these tags and is not stored by us. This processing is subject to Google's API terms and privacy practices. We send the image only once, at the time you add the item.

Outfit styling (text only)

To suggest outfits, Drobe sends only text descriptions of your items (such as "navy wool coat") and context (weather, occasion) to Google's Gemini API. No images are sent for styling, and we do not generate images of you. No try-on imagery is created.

Location and weather

If you grant location permission, Drobe uses your approximate coordinates to fetch the local weather (via the Open-Meteo service) so outfit suggestions match the day's conditions. Your coordinates are used for that request and are not stored by us. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; Drobe will fall back to a general estimate.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous transaction status to unlock premium features.

Analytics

Drobe may record anonymous, aggregate product events (for example, that an outfit was generated) to improve the app. These events are not tied to your identity and contain no images or personal wardrobe content.

What we do not do

Your choices

You can delete all of your data at any time from Settings → Delete all data in the app, which permanently removes your wardrobe and history from the device. You can also export a copy of your wardrobe from Settings.

Children

Drobe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
