How does Grindly block my apps?

Grindly uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls). You pick the apps to block, and Grindly shields them on your device — either for a timed Lock-In Session or until your daily non-negotiables are done. You'll be asked to grant Screen Time permission the first time.

Why does it need Screen Time permission?

That permission is what lets Grindly actually lock apps. It runs entirely on your device, and your selections are anonymous tokens we can't read. See our Privacy Policy.

Can I bypass a lock?

Lock-In Sessions are intentionally high-friction — that's the point. iOS doesn't make blocking impossible to circumvent, but Grindly maximizes friction so you stay locked in.

How do streaks work?

Finish your daily non-negotiables to keep your streak alive and grow the "don't break the chain" grid. Your current/best streak, completion rate, and discipline score are all computed on your device.

How does pricing work?

One honest price — monthly or annual, with a free trial on the annual plan and no predatory weekly billing. There's a genuinely useful free tier, and you can cancel anytime in your Apple account settings.

How do I restore my subscription or delete my data?

Open Settings in the app: tap Restore purchases, or Delete all data to permanently remove your tasks, profiles, sessions, and streak history from the device. You can also export a copy first.
